Ideas for When to Use Printables

Printables can be used in so many different situations, whether on a road trip or a family games night. The list could be endless!

Here are just some ideas for when to use printables:

On a rainy day

When it’s raining outside and you want to keep the kids or yourself occupied with a fun activity, printables are a simple and effective way of doing this. Whether through colouring and completing puzzles in printable activity books, crafting printable games or playing games with others, you can use them in a variety of ways.

When babysitting

Similarly, when you are babysitting, you can keep kids entertained by using printables, which are lightweight and easy to bring along. You can read stories to children, play games with them or support them as they use educational worksheets.

During screen-free time

Both adults and children have a lot of screen time and printables offer a welcome break from your devices. They also promote the maintenance of underused skills such as using pens, pencils and paper.

When reading to a child

Enjoyable reading experiences can be provided by printable story books, such as the books from our Edmund and Joy range, in which each story follows one of Edmund and Joy’s many adventures (click HERE to find out more).

When travelling

There can be a lot of time spare on a journey, whether on a train journey, coach journey, on a plane or on a road trip. Using printables can pass the time in a fun and easy way.

On a family games night

Getting together for a family games night is a great way of bonding as a family and for different group sizes, you can use a variety of printable card games or board games, such as the games from our Made For You Games range (click HERE for more). You can also use games designed for younger ages if younger children are involved, such as those from our Edmund and Joy range.

At Christmas

Printable books and games can be enjoyed with family and friends at Christmas and some of these products can even be Christmas-related, such as our Chase the Puddings Printable Game (click HERE for US version and HERE for UK version). They can also be given as gifts, whether as craft kits or as already lovingly crafted items. The games from our Made For You Games range even include a gift tag that you can add to the present you are giving.

In various activity clubs

Printable products can offer opportunities for crafting, playing games, solving puzzles and more! They can therefore be used in various activity clubs for adults or children, such as craft clubs, games clubs, after-school clubs and extracurricular clubs.

In homeschool and school

Printables can also be used in homeschool or school, including printable games that develop literacy skills, maths skills and social skills and books that develop children’s ability to read.
