At Many Joyful Things, we offer a variety of products including printable activity books. The printable activity books from our Joel and Hope’s Password Club range are designed for children aged 7-12 and the printable activity books from our Activity Mission range are designed for ages 7+, being suitable for both children and adults.
There are lots of word activities, drawing activities, colouring activities and puzzles inside these books, some of which are classic activity book activities and others that are newer. The books are available in both American English and British English, though we have described them in British English below.

Crossword
The classic activity in which you fill in the squares by answering ‘down’ and ‘across’ clues.
Wordsearch
Another classic in which you have to find words hidden in a grid of letters. The answers can go down, across or diagonal.
Acrostics
In this activity the first letter of each answer contributes to a word.
They Sound Alike
In this activity the answers to each pair of clues sound alike because they are homophones, e.g. pair and pear.
Trace and Colour
In this activity you need to trace over the outlines to copy the illustration before colouring in your drawing.
Copy and Colour
In this activity you have to copy the illustration in the box provided and colour in your drawing.
Rhyming Clues
This activity involves finding the answer to the clue in order to complete the rhyme.
Word Wheels
An activity in which you need to find as many words as you can using the letters in a wheel and always incorporating the central letter. In each word wheel there is also a nine-letter word for which we give a clue.
Spot the Difference
Spot the difference is a classic observation-based activity in which you have to spot the differences between two pictures.
Maze
Another activity book classic in which you need to find your way through a maze.
Hidden Words
In this activity a word is hidden between some of the words in a clue.
Changing Words
An activity in which each word can be changed to answer the clue by removing a letter, adding a letter or changing a letter.
Missing Letters
In this activity you need to find the missing letters to complete the word and answer the clue.
Missing Words
In this activity you need to find the missing word that will fill in the blanks in each group.
Same Answer
In this activity, groups of two or more clues have the same answer. All you need to do is work out what that answer is!
