A Fun Way to Reveal the New Family Pet to Your Kids

A selection of pages from Password Club Pets Edition Printable Activity Book.

Are you planning to get a new family pet but you haven’t yet told your kids which kind of pet you are getting – or perhaps you haven’t told them you are getting a pet at all? Well, you don’t just have to tell them – our latest product release is a pet-themed printable activity book that is a fun and exciting way of revealing to your child which pet your family is going to get.

This book is part of the Joel and Hope’s Password Club series of printable activity books designed for ages 7-12 and it contains a password for your child to find in order to reveal whether the family is getting a cat or a dog, a rabbit or a guinea pig. There are 10 password pages from which you can choose, depending on which animal your family is getting as a pet. The options are cat, dog, rabbit, bird, fish, pony, horse, hamster, tortoise and guinea pig.

As well as providing an exciting pet reveal, this activity book is packed full of pets-themed activities, including pets-themed wordsearches and word wheels, drawing and colouring activities, missing letters and hidden words activities and a maze in which children can help the dog to fetch the stick. We have provided the page containing the maze as a free sample for you to download below. (This page is part of the bonus content of the activity book and does not contribute to a password that can be found.)

This activity book is a great way to build children’s excitement for the new family pet, and to engage children in something that is a memorable moment for many families. It is also rewarding for children when they piece the letters of the password together and discover for themselves (with a little help if needed) that they are getting a ‘NEW PET!’
